What is an annual fund and why are unrestricted gifts important?
Annual Fund unrestricted gifts (also known as the Greater Challenge Fund) support our many programs, enhance the experience of students both on campus and across the state, and help us expand our offerings so that we continue to provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to our students.
Does my gift to the Annual Fund count towards the reunion giving challenge?
Yes, if you are in a reunion year, your annual fund donation will count towards your class goal!
What is the duration of the fiscal year and when should I contribute?
The NCSSM Foundation’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30 each year. As we wind down this academic year, we are grateful of those that have already contributed.
Will my company match my gift to NCSSM?
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please enter your employer's name here. This tool will also help you access the forms, guidelines, and instructions that you need to submit a matching gift.

What to know about the NCSSM Limited Edition Retro Tube Sock campaign:
- If you wish to opt-out, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing giving@ncssm.edu.
- Delivery will be in mid-April. We’re just as excited as you are to see you sporting your socks!
- Delivery only. We cannot hold your socks for you to pick up in person.
- Delivers to your billing address by default. If your shipping address is different, please provide it to us by emailing giving@ncssm.edu
- One pair of socks per transaction. Please make additional transactions to receive additional socks.
- Ships only within the United States. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship internationally.
- One size fits most, from a women's size 7 to a men's size 12.
- Tax receipt delivered via email. You will receive a tax receipt via email after you make a gift. However, please note that there will be an exchange of goods and services upon your donation. The fair market value ($10) of the item we provide will reduce your gift's tax credit, per federal tax regulations.
- Limited supplies. Sock options will change every year!
